Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies, but not for the reason one might think. Sure it is a great action film, the special effects were mind blowing at the time, and it is a great story. The reason it is one of my favorite films is some of the lines in the movie are a philosophy to live by.
First great line: "they were so preoccupied that whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think that they should" How many situations in our lives does this line ring true in our personal decisions, where we work, and the people we meet in life. Everyday, I encounter a situation, a person, or a decision where I do not stop and think of this line
Second great line: "We have all the problems of a Major Theme Park." All you have to do is think of where you work and this line usually will be true. I know it is for me.
Third great line is simple enough: "Run." If you have ever seen the movie, you know they do a lot of that and sometimes it seems in our own lives, we too spend a lot of time doing just that. The picture above is a skull of a T-Rex taken at the Smithsonian Museum. It is an image that may reflect what we sometimes face in life.
