Memorial Day: All Hail The Victorious Dead!

Casket This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend in the United States. Above is an image taken at Arlington National Cemetery of a Casket being taken to its final resting place. We do not know the name of the person, we do not know what War they fought in, we do not know their family. We do know they fought and died for our freedom. Nobody really wins a War, everybody loses. What is their victory in war? It is our freedom, our liberty from tyranny, and our right to self government. The sacrifice of their lives for what we may take for granted should be remembered this weekend. Let us be thankful for what these men and women fought and died for; and pray for the day when no more bodies will need to be laid to rest in military cemeteries. ALL HAIL THE VICTORIOUS DEAD!
