Plant on Beach (1 of 1) Above is an image of a beach scene that evokes Solitude. Solitude is a state of being alone without being lonely. Solitude is something we all need from time to time to refresh and replenish ourselves. Solitude should not be confused with loneliness which is a negative state of being. Solitude is something we chose, loneliness is not. Solitude is being alone with ourselves where we can connect with ourselves. It is a time of inner reflection, inner searching, in which we refresh, replenish, and renew ourselves. Solitude cannot only be found on a beach, a path into the woods, or a quiet spot in the mountains, but also in our everyday environment like riding in your car, on a park bench, a simple walk thru a garden, or even a room with no distractions. So sometime this week, make it a point to find Solitude and restore body and mind.
