The Big Birds Of Color

Above is an image of two of the most colorful birds in the backyard. A Male Cardinal and a Male Painted Bunting sharing the bird feeder at the same time. (this moment did not last long at all). In Bird World the male birds are the most colorful, vibrant, and flamboyant. This allows them to show off and attract a mate. Nature is the master of attraction, all of which we imitate. The birds have color, flowers have color and scent and most animals have scent or some other sign of attraction. We have cleverly marketed and sell the idea nature has given us in looks, perfume, an image of attraction. What we do to attract one another is sheer imitation of Nature. If you look to attract a mate or just for attention look no further than Nature and remember "THE BIG BIRDS OF COLOR!"

Will You?

Above is an image of a Manatee at the Manatee Lagoon in West Palm Beach in the waters of Florida. Over 1,000 Manatees have died in the past year, not from boats, not from disease, not from predators, but from starvation. The Sea Grass that they eat is being destroyed by algal blooms, which are caused by pollution from leaky septic tanks, sewer systems and fertilizer runoff. The Manatees are not the only animal disappearing, but all animals: lions, tiger, bears, elephants, rhinos, birds, and even insects. It would be a shame for our wildlife to disappear.  If they do disappear for good, Will Anyone Notice? "WILL YOU?"

A Plant Stays Rooted Forever

Above is an image of Bamboo, it is in reality a grass that can grow really tall. Plants stay rooted forever. They cannot move on their own. Once the seed falls to the ground the plant will grow and not move unless something moves it. It cannot move by itself and where is grows, it will grow in that one spot all its life. We on the other hand, move around and are very transient in our existence. We love to move by foot, by car, by plane, and any other way we can get around. There are people who stay rooted in one place and never move around and it may seem strange to some of us, they are content with their existence. There is an advantage to staying rooted, it can bring us stability, a routine, and a sense of familiarity. There is nothing wrong if you wish to root yourself in life. Plants have done it for millions of years, for "A PLANT STAYS ROOTED FOREVER!"

A New Year: New Beginning Or Same Old Log

January 05, 2022  •  Leave a Comment

A New Year has begun and all the talk is about a new beginning at the start of this New Year. This could be the truth, however, when you really think about it, the start of the New Year really is the same Old Log from last year. Our problems are still there, life has not magically changed as the clock strikes midnight like a Cinderella fairytale. Our life is the same on January 1st as it was on December 31st. What has to change is our motivation for change. We got to get motivated and start all the changes we promised ourselves we would make and stick with it in the New Year. Only then will we have a new beginning, otherwise, its "A NEW YEAR: NEW BEGINNING OR SAME OLD LOG!"

Winter Is Here

Winter is here! Just as we are to start the Holiday Celebrations, we face the coming of Winter. The days are dark and cold, as life struggles to just to survive this time of year. However, right at the beginning we have the joy of Christmas and we ring in a New Year celebrating the joy of life. It all seems so serendipitous, but then that is Life. Life is to be celebrated at all times and each day even if it gets tough to survive. Celebrate Life! "WINTER IS HERE!"
